About
My Background
Since 2017, I have worked as a maternity and pediatric nurse, supporting countless families in establishing breastfeeding and ensuring well-being. My passion comes not only from my professional experience but also from my own journey as a mother, where I faced significant challenges with breastfeeding both times. I know how vulnerable and frustrating it can feel when breastfeeding doesn’t go as hoped – and how crucial it is to get the right help in time.
Which is why I have dedicated my work to support and guide women and families, so that no one has to go through this alone.
My Approach as a Lactation Consultant
-
Individual and Flexible Guidance
Every family is unique, and I adapt my support to your needs – whether the goal is exclusive, partial, or gentle weaning. Because breastfeeding rarely follows a fixed schedule and urgent issues don’t wait until Monday, I offer evening consultations as well as online text support so you can get help when you need it.
-
Evidence-Based and Practical
I combine the latest research with down-to-earth, realistic solutions that fit into everyday life. My goal is to empower you to feel calm and confidence in this important season of your life, when breastfeeding often takes up many hours each day.
-
Support All the Way
I always create a breastfeeding plan tailored to your family’s unique situation. After each consultation, you’ll receive both the plan and a short written summary. My services and packages always include follow-up – and often SMS support – because I take pride in supporting you until you feel confident and empowered in your breastfeeding journey.

My Experience
My experience is wide-ranging. In Greenland, I worked at a maternity ward supporting families in establishing breastfeeding. At Rigshospitalet, I spent five years working with children with heart defects and those recovering from heart surgery. During this time, I helped countless families feel confident and comfortable with breastfeeding by creating individualized plans that prioritized the child’s safety and well-being, while also considering the parents’ overall well-being.
Alongside this, I trained as a certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), and in 2025 I founded Ammestart, where I now help both Danish and international families achieve a safe and confident start to their breastfeeding journey. In addition, I teach parent and maternity classes and serve as a mentor for other healthcare professionals.
"Creating a safe and supportive space where you feel seen and heard is my priority"
