As an IBCLC-certified lactation consultant and experienced pediatric nurse, I always take your unique situation as my starting point and adapt the guidance to your needs. This applies whether you need urgent help with breastfeeding or want a confident start to your breastfeeding journey.
Each session is shaped around your baby’s well-being, the mother’s experiences as well as your family’s overall situation. My approach is built on open and honest communication, ensuring you receive online support that is empowering, effective, and reassuring.
Your Lactation Consultant
My name is Ditte Kilmose. I am a IBCLC-certified lactation consultant and a registred nurse, and I have worked in maternity and pediatric care since 2017. My passion for breastfeeding comes from both my professional experience and my own journey as a mother of two. I have had the privilege of working in many different settings – from Greenland and the USA to one of Rigshospitalet’s highly specialized departments.
Today, I run Ammestart, where I support both Danish and international families in getting a safe and confident start. My approach is flexible and always tailored to your needs, so breastfeeding can become a positive and reassuring experience.
